FEAST OR FAMINE...
T.G.I.F.! Thank God it's Friday! Thank God it's Fall!
I love Fall. It's one of my favorite times of the year. I totally dig the slower pace, the fashions of the season (can finally wear my luscious leather pants), and the need for cuddling up kind of weather.
But this Fall, this month, is moving much too quickly already! Can you believe we're almost nearing the holiday season?
Anyhow, today I woke up at an ungodly hour...my mind on a million and one things. It seems that my life is often feast or famine. Either I'm swamped with things to do, or not quite enough. Lately, I've had to turn family members down for things they've wanted to do with me, but my schedule didn't allow. What a bummer.
Already, I have 2 major workshops to teach, a writer's meeting, a few creative projects, and projects around the house. Which is why I'm often amazed when people speak of "living in the moment." How the hell do you do that, when life tends to take on a "life" of its own? When projects are pressing, and when forethought is required just to
stay ahead of the game.
Now that's some food for thought.
I finished a great poem yesterday, (about the Million Man March), discovered an awesome new pizza place, and also caught up on a few things that were behind due to computer mishaps.
Looking forward to unwinding so I won't unravel...sometime soon!
